Apart from classroom lectures, our teaching methodology includes practical case studies, power –point presentation, business games, role – play, brainstorming mock interviews, personality development programes, etc. Students are exposed to the contemporary industrial climate through regular seminars, workshops, industrial visits and modern teaching and training methods.

We are committed to achieve excellence in the Management education, providing conducive environment for holistic development of Management students and to make the institute a hub for management consultancy. Leaning new skills, building Industry – Institute interface, through dynamic and innovative methodology, rigorous examination systems and commitment to continuous improvement. The indicators of our performance will be strong alumni network, placements at global level and publications by our faculty in national and international journals.

Our collaboration initiatives with industries and institutions are specially designed to give our education that extra edge. Regular interactions with the industry, such as site visits, internships, workshops, guest lectures offer students exposure to real world situations, in addition to the academic inputs they acquire in college. This makes them sound both in theory and in application

Following faculties are available – outdoor games like Athletes, Basket ball, Badminton, Kabaddi, Soft Ball, Tennikoit, Etc., and indoor games like chess, caroms, table tennis, etc., we encourage our students to pamper and improve their interested areas of sports and games to become the best. Because we believe in the statement “A sound of mind harbors in a sound body”.

 

  

As an upcoming Management and IT Institute, one of our core responsibilities is to pledge our selves to facilitate these young managers and software professionals fit in to various situations of business building, working in MNCs, developing professional attitude, harnessing the talents for productive aspirations, inculcating a spirit to grow and make footprints across borders. Our placement facility has assisted numerous organizations like Genpact, ICICI, HSBC, HDFC, ICFAI, Confluence, Satyam, Wipro and this facility has been the bridge for successful crossover for aspiring managers and software professionals.

We, at St Ann's college encourage the students to participate in debate, elocution, presentation, JAM sessions, business quiz,IT Quiz, drawing up business plan etc,. These intense subject oriented activities enable them to bring out their hidden talents and creative abilities, boosts their self-confidence and develop their personalities. Guest lectures by eminent resource person on emerging issues in various functional areas of management and IT are organized to get greater insight into students learning.

The college provides conducive environment to integrate cultural activities into our curriculum. We host a number of activities - of cultural, religious and national flavours with intensive and exhaustive participation from our students, throughout the year. These activities enable our students to realize the cultural and intellectual milieu.

CELEBRATIONS
St.Ann's Feast, National festivals, Christmas, Women's day, Feast of Blessed Enrichetta etc. are celebrated in the college with great festivity and enthusism.

ADMISSION :- 75 % of the seats are alloted by the ICET convenor and 25% of the sanctioned strength is filled in by the Management under Management quota as per the procedures laid down by the Government from time to time.

ATTENDANCE :- Attendance in every semester is compulsory. Every student is required to putup atleast 75% of attendance failing which the student is not eligible to appear for semester examination conducted by O.U.
  

1. The daily working hours of the college are from 9.00 a.m. to 3.00 p.m.

2. Attendance at the morning assembly at 9.00 a.m. is compulsory for the students and the staff.

3. Strict regularity, obedience, courtesy in speech and conduct, respect for elders, cleanliness in dress and person are expected of every student. Irregular attendance, unsatisfactory application to studies, disobedience and objectionable conduct in and out for the college will justify dismissal from the college.

4. No leaves of absence is granted to the student except for serious reasons and on previous written application from the parents or guardians, in case a student absent herself due to illness, she must bring note from her parents or guardians certifying to the fact, in the leave letters, when she returns to the college.

5. Absence without leave is liable to be punished with a fine, if the absence is prolonged for more than six days the name of the student will be struck of the rolls.

6. Students who have been absent from the college or coming late will not be admitted to the classes, without the principal's permission.

7. a) No students will be permitted to leave the college during the working hours without the permission of the Principal and a gate pass to be shown to the security person at the gate. b) No students who fail to put in minimum of 75% of attendance will be permitted to sit for the public Examination.

8. Its imperative that students should attend classes regularly and maintain cordial classroom climate in terms of discipline and silence when lecturer is in progress.

9. Students are encouraged to make use of library and computer lab facilities.

10. Students are not expected to take part in any political activities.

11. Every student should look after her belongings. The College cannot take the responsibility for articles that are lost. Any damage to the college property will have to be made good.
12. Students are strictly forbidden to scribble on the desks and benches, on the walls etc.

13. The Principal's sanction is required:

a. To make a collection for any purpose whatsoever b. To arrange for a meeting, party, picnic etc. c. For any students to join a sports meet or play in a tournament outside the college.

14. The college conducts Internal Assessments and Pre-final Examinations after the completion of the syllabus. The objective is not only for evaluating the academic progress but also to prepare them for the University Examinations. It is very important that students attend Test/Exams as and when conducted. The students are advised to take up exams seriously for improving their academic credentials.

15. Dress code: (a) Students should adhere to the dress code of the college. They should wear only neat and modest dress viz. Salwar Kameez (b) Students shall be dressed in formals from Monday to Saturday and in Blazers on important occasions.

CELL PHONES :

The Government of Andhra Pradesh has banned the use of cell phones in the college campus and hence the students are warned not to use cell phones in the college campus. If found using, the cell phones and cell phone enabled cameras will be confiscated and heavy fine will be imposed.

FOR PARENTS:

1. The parents can meet the principal between 10.00 a.m. and 11.00.a.m. on working days or by prior appointment.

2. Parents are requested to do their part in enforcing regularity and discipline. Students who put in less than 85% of attendance will not be given the Hall ticket nor will they be permitted to appear for the public Examination.

3. Parents and guardians should bring any complaints they may have to the Principal and not to the staff directly.

4. It is strictly forbidden for parents or guardians to enter the staff rooms.

5. The staff and students are strictly forbidden to receive visitors during class hours.

6. Parents, guardians and others may not meet the students or interview the staff in the college premises without the permission of the principal.

7. Parents are requested to ensure that the college fees are paid at the beginning of each semester without fail.

8. As parental co-operation is indispensable for the proper education of their children, parents are requested to keep in touch with the college authorities about the progress and conduct of their children.

 

For the year 2008-09 MCA 100% and MBA100%.

We are confident of achieving 100 % results this year too. The institute has proposals to start few more degree courses, P.G.Diploma Courses and an additional section for MBA.

ANNUAL REPORT 2009-10

It gives me great pleasure to present the Annual Report for the academic year 2009-10
In the year 2003 MBA programme were commenced with an intake of 30 and 60 students respectively. The MCA programme was started in the year 2006.
We are proud of our excellent infrastructure. We have spacious well furnished classrooms equipped with audio visual aids.

Well stocked libraries separately for MBA,MCA Our library has around 600 volumes of books and subscribes to 65 national and international journals.

Our computer labs are fully upgraded with Pentium IV processors, UPS. Server and internet facilities.MCA lab has 120 computers, MBA lab 40 and the faculty lab has 16 computers. We hold licensed software's for Turbo C++, smart draw. Oracle10G11i and windows SP1.

We conducted a seminar on Career Opportunities for Women in the Changing Scenario in Aug 2009. Eminent Academicians, professionals and key resource persons enlightened the participants with their valuable inputs. DISHA 2009 was conducted in October. An orientation programme for MBA and MCA freshers. The programme was graced by the Dean Dept. of B.Mgt. O.U.

Student industry interface was facilitated throughout the year with guest lectures by eminent persons from academic industry. Industrial visits to bridge the gap between theory and practice were arranged to Coco Cola and Parle G.

The placement cell was very active with training sessions, campus recruitments and off campus placements. MBA students are in the process of being placed in companies like G.V.K. Bio sciences, ICICI Bank Cognizant technologies and Kotak Securities.We are confident that few more students would be successfully placed before the end of the academic year. MCA final year students have secured project works in STC Tech., Data Point, Praneeth Soft Solutions and Tech World Solutions. There are chances of them being recruited too. 2 of our MCA students have been offered jobs in ETV 2 and Raj TV on the technical side.

As a part of our Social Responsibility initiative our staff and students had generously contributed about Rs.55,000/- in cash and in kind for the flood affected victims of Kurnool. We had distributed food grains and other basic necessities with the help of our sister institution at Kurnool.

Our social service wing Carlo Club, organized various fund raising events to help the needy, They raised 25,000/- and sponsored sweaters and a meal for the inmates of Friends of the Birds of the Air, an orphanage at Nagaram, and distributed toiletries to the inmates of the Home for the disabled at bansilalpet.They have given financial aid to a group of refugees of J&K who have been displaced from the homes.
All round development of students was ensured through various co-curricular activities like student presentations, elocution, debates, quiz Essay writing competition and Dumb Charades. Cultural activities like freshers and farewell , National Festivals and student picnic have been encouraged to develop the spirit of participation and organizing skills of students. Ethnic Day was celebrated to sensitize students to Indian Culture and Tradition. The faculty are constantly encouraged to take up research work and are sponsored to attend workshops and seminars as part of FDP. This year we had research publications by Sr.Leena, Sr. Emmy and Ms.Sravanthi and paper presentations by Mrs. Sucharita and Ms Sravanthi..

Mr. Ranjith faculty member of the Computer Science, Dept, was the resource person for a workshop on C organized by O.U. for the degree teachers of twin city colleges.

A picnic was organized for the staff members to promote the spirit of oneness.

The college regularly conducts semester exams of O.U. for MBA and MCA students and also ICET exam in the month of May successfully. We have been securing excellent results consistently year after year.
